Movieline?s Week in Review: Sisters Are Doing It For Themselves

With the exception of a certain boy wizard traipsing around the premises, ladies reigned supreme this week at Movieline HQ. Let’s take a look back at their triumphant phenomena in the latest edition of our Week in Review, and don’t forget to drop by this weekend for more dispatches from Comic-Con, the box office, and beyond.

· The 25th anniversary of Aliens received the tribute it deserved. (As did one or two slightly lesser titles.)

· Snow White got the smokin’ hot Scarlett O’ Hara-meets-Banksy treatment.

· Many thanks to our illustrious interviewees, including Neil Patrick Harris, Phife Dawg and Jarobi, anti-cougar Patricia Clarkson, Brit Marling, Captain America writers Christopher Markus and Stephen McFeely, and Verge designee Sebastian Stan.

· Black Swan was a Bad Movie We Love. The Undefeated was apparently just a plain old bad movie.

· From movies ready for TV to acting pop stars, we had your essential lists covered.

· Meanwhile, a fellow named Gary Oldman quietly had — or is having — a moment.

· And then this guy did all right for himself, too, I guess.

· Movieline’s Jen Yamato and Julie Miller are rocking San Diego Comic-Con as we speak. Check them out all weekend! And have a good one!
